Our services listed below come with a complementary initial consultation where we can meet with you free of charge to discuss your requirements and outline your options. The list below is not exclusive and if there is anything else that you feel we may be able to help you with please get in touch and we will be delighted to outline your options.
Our main services include accounting, auditing, tax consultancy, tax return preparation and bookkeeping to name but a few.
We can look after all your accountancy needs here at Grennan Accountants. We prepare statutory accounts for all entity types including sole traders, limited companies and farmers.
In addition we can also prepare management or interim accounts for your business or organisation should this be necessary for your management team.
As Statutory Auditors we can provide a range of audit and assurance services depending on your individual requirements. These include, but are not limited to, preparation of audited accounts for companies, charities and other regulated entities.
We have a range of options depending on your individual needs. At a most basic level we can prepare and submit your VAT, PAYE and RCT returns. This service can be upgraded to include bank reconciliations and outsourced payroll should your business or organisation require.
We can also offer comprehensive monthly or quarterly management accounts and prepare budgets or cash-flows to enable you to better manage your business profitability levels and take early corrective action should this be required.
So if you feel that the constant mundane record keeping is taking up too much of your time and not allowing you to focus on your business then please get in touch so that we can go through your options and put in place a plan that is suitable for you.
From our head office based in Kilkenny, we handle a wide range of company secretarial returns for a varied portfolio of corporate clients. As a matter of course we can keep your company up to date with its many statutory filing obligations with the Companies Registration Office.
We also provide for our clients as standard the transition returns necessary for them to comply with the Companies Act 2014 which is due to be enacted later this year. If you are looking for someone to keep your company secretarial returns up to date or provide you with advice on company law then Shane Grennan of Grennan Accountants would be delighted to meet with you.
Furthermore, if your company is already in the position of being late with its annual return we can provide the necessary audit services in order for you to get your company back on track with its obligations. So if you are in the unfortunate position of being late for the CRO please contact Shane Grennan to arrange an appointment and outline your options.
We also provide a comprehensive range of tax services including:
Preparation of Tax returns
For our many clients we prepare personal, corporate and capital tax returns and upon approval submit same to the revenue commissioners or other relevant authority. These would include Income Tax returns, Corporation Tax returns, Vat and PAYE returns.
Tax planning and advice
In addition to preparing statutory returns we give our clients tax planning advice for issues going forward. If you are planning any major changes to your business or personal life that may have tax implications we would advise that you talk with us first so that we can advise you on the tax implications before you commit to the decision.
Revenue Audits and Investigations
In the event of you being selected for a revenue audit we can guide you through the process every step of the way. We will be in constant communication with revenue on your behalf throughout the process and keep you fully informed throughout. We will also accompany you to meetings with revenue officials during the audit.
Going into business for the first time can be a rewarding but daunting experience for most people. If you are thinking of making this step we can offer practical advice on all revenue and accounting issues. Our initial consultations for this would be complementary and you would gain independent advice on the following areas and more:
One of the first things that you will need when establishing a business is a comprehensive business plan. We can give you advice on preparing a business plan or indeed prepare one for you. Business plans including budgets and projected accounts will be required by banks when applying for finance. They may also be required by government bodies if you are applying for any grants or state aid. They will also set out a clear financial path for you to follow and enable you to see if your business is on track.
Another decision that you will be faced with when setting up a business is to decide what legal structure that you require. During your initial consultation we will outline the pros and cons of the various structures to you and help you decide which one best suits your needs. The biggest decision is whether to operate as a sole trader or a body corporate. If you decide to set up as a sole trader we can register that for you with revenue and if applicable we can register a trade name for you. If you decide to incorporate the business we can form the company for you with the Companies Registration Office and register the company with revenue. We will also advise you on the various company structures such as limited and unlimited companies to name but a few.
Revenue Deadlines and filing with the CRO
During our initial meeting we will also outline for you the on-going compliance issues that you will face including what returns need to be filed with revenue and with the Companies Registration Office.
So, if you think establishing a new business might be for you then please give us a call and we will be delighted to go through your options with you. As I said before your initial consultation will be complementary so it is well worth your while to at least discuss the options.
Is it time for you to take your business to the next level? At Grennan Accountants we can give you a range of advice on incorporating your business, based on our knowledge of corporate structures and business taxes. After our initial discussion should you decide that incorporation is right for you then we can handle the incorporation process for you should you wish. Once the new company is incorporated we can then register the company with the revenue for tax purposes.
So if you think that it may be time to move your business to the next level then please get in touch with us as incorporating your business is simpler and more affordable than you might think.
